HPTU Signs MoU with Universal Education Bangalore to Boost Student Employability

Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh – In a commendable move aimed at enhancing technical education quality and employability of engineering students, Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU) has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Universal Education, Bangalore.

The agreement was signed as part of a skill development initiative under the "Technical Education Quality Improvement Program." This collaboration will offer industrial and employment-oriented training to third-year engineering students across affiliated colleges of HPTU. The MoU was officially signed on January 27, 2020.

Key Highlights of the Partnership:

  • Target Beneficiaries: Third-year engineering students from HPTU-affiliated colleges.

  • Duration: The training program will run until March 20, 2020.

  • Funding: A budget of ₹60 lakhs has been allocated for this training initiative.

  • Training Focus: Students will receive practical, job-oriented training to make them industry-ready. Universal Education will conduct domain-specific training sessions that cover key technical and professional skills.

During the MoU signing, the event was graced by HPTU Vice Chancellor Prof. S.P. Bansal, Chief Officer Uttam Patyal, and Universal Education Bangalore’s Head of Operations. Prof. Bansal emphasized the importance of such collaborations in bridging the gap between academic learning and industry expectations.

This strategic move is expected to open up significant employment opportunities for students, offering them a chance to gain hands-on experience and relevant industry exposure.
